    Sahasra Lingarchana is a unique Vedic ritual worshiping lord Siva. It is performed by doing Pooja to
    1,116 Parthiva lingas made with well prepared and sanctified mud.
    “ALANKARA PRIYO VISHNUHU, ABHISHEKA PRIYA SHIVAHA”

    Lord Vishnu is Alankara Priya and Lord Shiva is Abhisheka Priya. It is a very blissful experience witnessing
    Lord Siva’s Rudraabhishekam while chanting one of the most powerful Vedic mantras, Namakam.
    Witnessing Abhishekam to one Siva Linga is amazing, but witnessing Abhishekam to over one thousand
    Lingas is beyond words.

    Performing Archana and Abhishekam to ‘Loha Murthy’ (deity made with metal) and ‘Shila Murthy’ (deity
    made with stone) results in showering of divine blessings, but performing Archana and Abhishekam to
    ‘Parthiva Murthy’ (deity made with sanctified clay) results in the fulfilment of righteous desires faster.

    To bring culmination to the daily Sivabhishekams as well as the special ones performed on auspicious and
    festival days, this Sahasra Lingarchana will be performed on Sunday, November 17th, 2019 in our temple.
