A. Content Standards: The learner demonstrates appreciation of contemporary art


forms, found in the various regions by understanding the elements and
principles.
B. Performance Standards: Creates avenues to advocate the arts from the
different regions.
C. Learning Competencies/Objectives: Compares forms of arts from the different
regions in theater. CAR11/12CAP-0c -e-7

A. Topic: Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Region
B. Reference: Wilson K. Panisan, et.al (2016) by Mutya Publishing, pp. 52-53.
C. Materials: board, laptop, projector, eraser, book

III. PROCEDURES
A. Preliminaries
1. Prayer & Greetings

3. Review
a. What are the elements of theater?
b. How important the elements of theater in performing the stage?
c. Why is it important to know the elements of theater.?
4. Motivation
a. Have you ever performed in any theater?
b. Is it necessary to know the forms and types of theater? Why do you say
so?
B. Lesson Proper
1. Presentation
a. The teacher will show video clips of theater and let them identify what are the
different types and forms in theater particularly in Dulang Pahiyang category.
2. Activity
a. From the given presentation, ask the students to group themselves into 4
groups, they will assign a leader. Perform the task given by the teacher. They
will be given 15 minutes to discuss and explain in the class.
Group 1: Ritual Play
Group 2: Poetic Debate
Group 3: Mimetic Joust
Group 4: Drama-Balitaw
3. Analysis
a. How do you find the activity?
b. What have you learned today?
c. How to compare the forms of arts from different regions?
4. Abstraction
a. Provides the student summary of the lesson and activity. How the students
will apply what they have learned from the discussion?
