Message from the Guest Editor
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue focuses on breakwater design. In
particular, this Issue deals with breakwater design and
reinforcement methods to efficiently respond to the
increase in design wave height due to climate change. All
types of breakwaters are involved, such as gravity-type
breakwaters, pile-type breakwaters, floating breakwaters,
and so on.
We invite researchers from both academia and industry to
submit original articles that advance the state of the art in
breakwaters or review the progress and future directions of
research in this field. The scope of this Special Issue covers
the range of subjects relevant to not only breakwaters, but
also coastal engineering problems related to breakwaters.
