Rules of the event:

 A maximum of 3 members can form a team.


 This event is open to only students in India. Working professional who are currently
undergoing part time MBA/PGDM can also participate in the event.
 Teams are required to register on the D2C portal.
 A participant can be a part of only one team.
 Multiple teams can participate from one college.
 The team members may be from different years in their course.
 Please adhere to the deadlines given, requests for extensions and late entries will not be
entertained.
 For Round 1, you are required to upload your test.csv file along with python/R code and
the PPT for evaluation
 Teams Qualifying for round 2 will present their solution to the panel members
 In case of any dispute, decision of the Analytics Committee – Great Lakes shall be final.
 The format and structure of events are subject to change before the actual beginning of
the event.

Talent Acquisition at ProsConnect


ProsConnect, a talent acquisition agency dealing primarily in the Information Technology (IT)
services market is currently facing challenges about increasing default rate (candidates not
joining the company after accepting the offer).

Acquiring new talent is always a challenging and time-consuming task, especially in the IT
industry since the recruit has to handle numerous changes in an ever-changing landscape. In
many instances, it is even difficult to find the exact matching candidates for the specified job
role. In such a scenario, if an offer is denied, then the human resource (HR) department has to
repeat the entire recruitment process resulting in additional effort from the top management.

ProsConnect is trying to address this problem by identifying patterns in their existing candidate
records. Your team has been hired to help them achieve this task. As an analytics consultant,
you are required to:

1. Build appropriate classification models to predict Joining or Not Joining


2. Compare the results in terms of accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity.
3. Which model, will you choose and why? Interpret the results including the roc curves
4. Quantify the relative importance of the key variables that will help the HR Function

Round 1 Evaluation will be based on the performance of the solution. You can use Excel, R,
Python, Tableau etc. to derive the results. However, usage of SPSS is NOT allowed. You are
required to submit your Test Data (Submission) in the following format:

Teams qualifying for Round 2 will be presenting your solution to be judges panel. There is no
limit to the number of slides. However, each time will be getting 12 minutes to present their
solution, which will be followed by Q&A Session from the panel
