Effective Questioning is a teaching strategy that is aptly named because it’s more
effective in guiding students toward more scholarly answers than simple fact drilling.
Though effective questioning is not particularly complicated to employ in the classroom,
there are a few important characteristics of instructional strategy. First, effective
questioning must be used consistently. This strategy should be used at the beginning of
a unit and each lesson to garner interest and engagement in content by activating prior
knowledge and encouraging students to clearly and thoroughly verbalize their
responses.

 Be sure that at the end of the conversation, your student has something to
learn from your activity.
