Installing unsigned drivers in Windows 8

Warning: Save work before start of procedure!

1. Open Charms bar and click settings

2. Select Change PC settings

3. Select Update & recovery

4. Select Recovery and Restart now under Advanced startup

5. Select Troubleshoot

6. Select Advanced options

7. Select Startup Settings

8. Select Restart
 9. System will restart and offer you different startup setting.
Select Disable driver signature enforcement, by hitting F7 key on your keyboard

The system will boot normally and unsigned driver installation will be possible.

To install LPKF ProtoFlow drivers, follow a normal installation procedure:

1. click Settings (charms bar)

2. click Control panel
3. click System and security (depending on your view, you may have to skip this step)
4. click System
5. click Device Manager
6. click to expand Other devices
7. right click ProtoFlow USB support
8. click Update Driver Software
9. click Browse my computer for driver software
10. specify the path to the folder ProtoFlow S – USB drivers
11. check Include subfolders
12. click next
13. click Install this driver software anyway
14. click Close after installation is finished
