“IF” -Rudyard Kipling-

The poem "If", written by Rudyard Kipling according to many critics, but
also the voices of a wider audience, is one of the best songs of the past
millennium. His strength and value are, as always, equally in the message
and in the beauty of the word.
In this poem, the father advises his son and points out to him the
consequences of his actions and encourages him to behave in the right
way.
Well-meaning and sincere advices that a father gives to his son runs
through the whole song.
Тhe advices the father gives in the song is universal for all time, and they
are a typical example of how a parent should raise a child and prepare
him for this life.
What I like most in this poem is in the last, fourth stanza . Тhe father
shows his son what will become of him if he obeys his advice and follows
it. His son will become the most important thing - a man.
I think that every parent should read this poem, and always have it as a
guideline in raising a child. Only in that way will every parent strive to
achieve the end of the cycle, and that is to make a child out of their child,
a man who is ready to face life and reality.
