Read the article about Rachel, an American girl. Are sentences 1-7 “Right” (A) or “Wrong"
(B)? If there isn’t enough information to answer “Right” (A) or “Wrong" (B), choose
“Doesn’t say” (C).

My life in Los Angeles

Rachel is 16 years old. She lives in a suburb of Los Angeles. Like many Americans, Rachel can
drive at age 16. She’s lucky: she’s got her car, but she can only drive on weekends.
Rachel goes to a private school 500 metres from her house. School starts at 8 am and finishes
at 3 pm. Rachel plays on the school volleyball team. The school has 50 clubs and activities.
Rachel works hard in the evening. Her parents are strict. She cannot
go out during the week. She does her homework and studies
for her university entrance exams. “I’m very impatient to go to
university. But I want to stay in California, near Los Angeles,
because I love the hot weather,” she says. Rachel wants to study
International Business.
Rachel sleeps late on Sundays. At lunchtime, she and her friends go
to Universal City, a group of restaurants and cinemas near Universal
Studios. They eat hamburgers and go to the cinema. They also go
to Venice Beach to play volleyball and surf.

Dear Mark,

I really like my new job in Cambridge. Our house is very nice: it’s at 23 Mill Road, not
far from the town centre. I am in Bristol with my wife for the weekend. We arrived
yesterday and are staying for two nights. Bristol is a nice place.

Yours

Neil
