To Whom It May Concern:

I have had the pleasure of knowing Kaylen Samson since February 2018, when
she was hired as an assistant at our Kumon Center, the Kumon Center of Mililani Mauka.
She was referred to us by another employee, and we were told she was majoring in
elementary education, which made her perfect for the job.

From the beginning of her employment, Kaylen was an extremely hard worker,
always striving to ensure that she did more than expected. That’s truly what makes
Kaylen special, her ability to anticipate what’s needed and do more than expected.
Kaylen is never satisfied with doing “enough.” She puts all of her effort into everything
she does.

Kaylen was our Tasmanian Devil in the center. She worked the desk, helped
students, prepared work, and spoke with parents. She kept students on task, assisted them
when necessary, and corrected papers.

She ended up quitting because she wanted to be able to focus completely on

finishing her education degree and preparing to teach full-time. This was a loss for us, as
Kaylen did so much for us in the center.

Kaylen puts teaching first. She works hard on creating strong lesson plans and
takes constructive criticism well. She constantly looks for ways to improve and become
a better teacher. She wants all of her students to learn, and that is obvious. With each
student at the center, she was patient, yet she pushed them and challenged them to learn
and master concepts and skills.

Kaylen is going to be a fantastic teacher because she cares about her students and
their learning. She gives 100% all the time, and she continuously strives to be better. That
will serve her well and take her far.

Sincerely,
Deena Tamashiro
Co-owner
