STEP 2: REVIEW THE PRESENTATIONS YOU HAVE CHOSEN
Watch the presentations. As you watch each video, pay close attention to three specific aspects.
1. Structure/Organization
• How does the talk begin? What technique does the speaker use to introduce the topic? How does the
speaker connect with the audience?
• How does the speaker handle the “middle” part of the presentation?
• How does the presentation end? What specific technique does each speaker use to conclude the
talk?
2. Delivery
• Eye contact
• Rate of speaking (the speed at which information is spoken) & Voice (volume, inflection, enunciation)
• Gestures (body movement)
3. Slides
• Design and layout
• Use of images, figures, illustrations
• Size of text, font style, use of color Continued
