The Drillable Cementing Bushing
(DCB) performs the same func-
tion as the Retrievable Cementing
Bushing but must be drilled out
to achieve unrestricted access to
the liner below. Normally this seal
assembly is installed in a separate
housing. A polished OD slick joint
completes the assembly.
C EMENTING PACK O FF C OUPLING
The Cementing Pack Off Cou-
pling (POC) is a Polished Bore
Receptacle (PBR)-type seal
attached to the liner setting tool.
It seals into a PBR run in the liner
assembly or the tieback receptacle.
This seal assembly utilizes one
PBR seal unit for premium pres-
sure integrity. Following retrieval,
access to the liner is unrestricted.
S WAB CUP A SSEMBLY
The Swab Cup Assembly (SWCA)
is used in applications that do not
require the higher performance
capability of a Retrievable Cementing
Bushing, Drillable Cementing Bush-
ing or a Pack Off coupling. The packer
cup assembly uses commercially
available swab cups. When assembled
to the mandrel, these swab cups are
designed to hold pressure in one
direction only. The SWCA is run on
tail pipe below the setting tool, pro-
viding unrestricted access to the liner
when retrieved.
