ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

At the very outset, I dedicate my work and my research thesis to my father, Adv. Dr.
Sureshchandra Ramrao Bhosale. The sheer privilege of having a pioneer like him as a
father has acted as a constant source of support and confidence in my life, specially
my career in law and academics.

I would also like to dedicate this work to the entire Bhosale family, which has made a
lasting impact on the academic and legal canvas of the state of Maharashtra with their
vast contributions. It is this humbling feeling of being a part of this illustrious family,
that pushed me every day to work harder.

It is always an honour and privilege to work with the people with high morals and
immense knowledge. I, express my deep gratitude towards my mentor and my
research guide Dr. Durgambini A. Patel for all her efforts to engrave my unpolished
intellectual edges to a fine pollster. She taught me consciously and unconsciously the
ethics of good research. The joy and enthusiasm she showed to support me was
contagious and motivational. It shall remain as a treasure for me to the rest of my life.

I want to thank Dr. Dilip Ukey, Professor, Department of Law, Savitribai Phule Pune
University for supporting me since my initial stage of my doctorate. His support was
very valuable in achieving my goal.

I would not have been able to see the light of this day without the constant support of
my mother Mrs. Jayashree Sureshchandra Bhosale and my wife Mrs. Anchita
Chinmay Bhosale. I shall forever be grateful for their contributions and
encouragement.

In the end, I would like to make a special mention of my daughter Aarika who is
barely 18 months old, for cheering me up and helping me to face the challenge of
undertaking this research thesis in spite of the mounting work pressures of a thriving
legal practice at the bar. It wouldn’t have been possible to achieve this herculean task
without her innocence, her smile and the twinkle in her eye which made me yearn to
pass on the glorious legacy of academic excellence of our family to her.
