ASSIGNMENT QUESTION
PURPOSE
The objective of the assignment is to evaluate learner’s knowledge and understanding in
applying the skills and social responsibilities within the community; apply communication
skills, leadership and work as a team; and practice skills in information management,
projects and entrepreneurship.
REQUIREMENT
Community service is an important activity to promote goodwill between the community
and the environment. Proper planning for community service would impact on the
community at local, district, state or national levels.
Although the Recovery Malaysian Movement Control Order (RMCO) has been implemented
from June 10, 2020, till December 31, 2020 in Klang Valley and other places across Malaysia
(At the time this assignment is set by the examiner) and physical distancing as a
precautionary measure against the prevention of coronavirus pandemic 2019 (COVID-19),
community service activities can still be implemented in indoor.
For this assignment, among the project themes proposed that could be carried out
indoor (in your house or work place) include:
(a) Educational responsibility;
(b) Community development;
(c) Health;
(d) Information technology;
(e) Social entrepreneurship;
(f) Well-being of society; and
(g) Sports.

GUIDELINES FOR ACTION:
1. The assignment must be completed by doing the planned activities provided as
follows:
a) Activity 1 - Planning and implementation of community service indoor with your
family members or housemates or colleagues (Total members: three – include
you). Limited to 4 pages only.

b) Activity 2 - Video recording (The duration of the recording is between 5-10
minutes) [Please include the link to access your recordings in your assignment].
(30 marks)
c) Activity 3 – Writing a reflective journal. Limited to 3 pages only.
(14 marks)
d) Activity 4 – Answering essay question

xii) 16 September: International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer;
xiii) 5 June: World Environment Day;
xiv) 8 June: World Oceans Day;
xv) 17 June: World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought;
xvi) 21 May: World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development;

xvii) 20 December: International Human Solidarity Day;
Based on the international day from the previous page, as a volunteer, you are
required to select ONE international day from the previous page and above,
suggest at least THREE activities that you would like to carry out with your family
members or your community during the COVID-19 pandemic era. (Notes: This
question is not related to Activity 1 – 3 in this assignment). Limited to 3 pages
only.

REMINDER:
1. You are advised to practice physical distancing and prevention measures in
regards to Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as issued by the Ministry of Health
Malaysia (MOH) when planning and carrying out community service activities at
home or work place.
2. You are recommended to read and understand all the suggested activities and
plan the best way to implement them because all the activities (except Activity
4) are interrelated with each other.
3. You are to plan the expenditure of your activity accordingly.
4. You do not need to include your video recording link in this assignment
anymore.
5. You need to upload the video directly as an attachment.
6. Video size should not exceed 400MB.
7. All the activities have to be carried out between 3 January 2021 till 1 April 2021
only (last date of submission with penalty.)
8. Your assignment should be prepared individually. You should not copy another
person’s assignment. You should also not plagiarise another person’s work as
your own.

SOALAN TUGASAN
TUJUAN
Tujuan tugasan ini adalah untuk menilai pengetahuan pelajar untuk mengaplikasi
kemahiran dan tanggungjawab sosial dalam masyarakat; mengaplikasi kemahiran
komunikasi, kepimpinan dan bekerja secara berpasukan; dan mempraktikkan kemahiran
pengurusan maklumat, projek dan keusahawanan.
KEPERLUAN
Khidmat masyarakat merupakan suatu aktiviti yang penting untuk memupuk perasaan
muhibah antara komuniti dan persekitarannya. Perancangan khidmat masyarakat yang
sesuai dapat memberikan impak kepada masyarakat sama ada di peringkat daerah
ataupun di peringkat nasional.
Untuk tugasan ini, antara tema-tema projek dicadangkan yang dapat dilaksanakan di
dalam ruangan tertutup (di rumah atau tempat kerja anda) termasuk:
(a) Tanggungjawab pendidikan;
(b) Pembangunan komuniti;
(c) Kesihatan;
(d) Teknologi maklumat;
(e) Keusahawanan sosial;
(f) Kesejahteraan masyarakat;
(g) Sukan.

PANDUAN UNTUK TINDAKAN:
1. Tugasan ini dapat dilengkapkan dengan melakukan aktiviti terancang yang diberikan
seperti berikut:
a) Aktiviti 1 – Perancangan dan pelaksanaan khidmat masyarakat dalam ruangan
tertutup bersama ahli keluarga atau rakan-rakan serumah anda atau rakan
sekerja anda (Jumlah ahli 3 – termasuk diri anda sendiri). Terhad kepada 4 muka
surat sahaja.
