1.Description
Advanced Log Analyzer is a powerful web activity analysis software. It
generates a large number of traditional reports like Most Common Pages and
Referrers. The main advantage of this analyzer is in its "untraditional" reports like
Most Common Visitor Paths and Profiles, Web Model report and Indirect and Direct
Referrer Analysis reports.

Advanced Log Analyzer works on Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, Me, XP, 2003,
Vista, 2008 and Windows 7 as:
 Windows application with GUI (Graphical User Interface).
 Console version of application.
 CGI application that can work on Windows web servers like Microsoft Internet
Information Server (IIS) and Apache.

2.Features
 Works as a GUI/Console/CGI application.
 Incremental analysis. Don't analyze the same date twice.
 Approximate analysis of extremely large log files (more than 1GB).
 Completely configurable reports.
 Supports IIS 4.0, IIS 5.0, IIS 6.0, IIS 7.0, Apache and other log formats.
 Supports compressed GZ log files.
 Reverse DNS look up (stats about network user names and geographical stats)
 A tremendous amount of traditional reports such as the Most Common Pages
and Referrers.
 A great set of untraditional reports like the most common visitors paths and
profiles, web model report, indirect and direct referrer analysis reports, and
others.
 It's extremely fast, and it does not require a lot of memory to operate.

Step 1: Press Analyze Button


To analyze a sample log file, press
Analyze Button. After this analysis you
can go to Sites Tab and create Settings
for your own site.

Step 2: Progress Window Pop Up


After you press the Analyze Button the
Progress Window will appear.

Step 3: Press Download Button
To download a sample log file, press
Download Button. You can also enter
your host, username, password, and
remote your log path.

4.Reports Tab
Step 1: You can add new reports here, remove unwanted reports and configure their look
and feel.

Step 2: Reports Panel
This is the Reports Panel where you can manage reports such as adding new or modifying reports.

5.Sites Tab
Step 1: Sites Panel
You may create settings for your site. Press New Site Button in upper left corner and follow to the instructions
of New Site Wizards.

Step 2: Set your Site Name


This will help you to create configuration
for your site. Provide your site name and
this site anme should be unique in your
site list.

Step 3: Set your Log Path


Choose your full name of your log file.

Step 4: Set your Log Format


Select your log format. Click on Recognize
button and ALA will try to recognize your
log site format.

6.Schedule Tab
Step 1: Schedule Panel
You may create schedule for your site. Press New Task Button in upper left corner.

Step 2: Add New Schedule


This will help you to create schedule for
your site.

Step 3: Manage Site Schedule


Select your site and check your Action.
You can also choose period, date and time.

7.Reports Tab
Step 1: Reports Panel
Reports should be display here. If for some reason reports are empty, it is most probably because of limits in
your log format.

This will help you to manage your results panel. You can also generates reports
here.
