COMMUNIQUE – COURT BUSINESS AS FROM 1ST APRIL 2021

Dear Friends,

In view of the extension of the Confinement in Mauritius as announced this evening, the status
quo will be maintained in relation to Court Business.

As such, only urgent matters will be entertained by the Court as is the case currently.

Barristers whose services have been retained by a person to attend a police station, place of
detention or Court will be able to continue to attend such locations with their Barristers Card.

In those circumstances, you are kindly requested to disregard the Communique issued this
morning in relation to civil cases before the Intermediate Court.

We will continue to keep you updated via the MBA App, website and email.
