    LAB 1:
    Import Satellite Images into QGIS

    1.0 LAB OUTCOME


    Students will know how to import satellite images into QGIS. Additionally, students learn the
    correct approach to setting up the coordinate system in QGIS.

    2.0 OBJECTIVES
    1) Familiarize with QGIS user interface.
    2) Setup coordinate system.
    3) Loading satellite image using QuickMapServices Plugin.
    4) Importing Satellite Image into QGIS.

    3.0 INSTRUCTIONS
    1) Open QGIS & Click “New Project”.
    2) Set project coordinate reference system (CRS) to Kertau RSO (EPSG code = 3168)
    3) Install “QuickMapServices” Plugin
    4) Load Google Hybrid Image. (“Web” > “QuikcMapServices)
    5) Saved the “Project” > “Save As” to save your QGIS.
