To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to provide this strong recommendation on behalf of Nevada High School junior, Briar Crain. Fortunately, I have
had the opportunity to work directly with Briar, serving as her MS Assistant Principal for two years, her HS Principal for two years,
and now as the district’s Associate Superintendent. Briar’s commitment to improvement, leadership skills, and overall character is
an everyday occurrence. She is a humble yet confident leader who is continually looking for ways to improve in and out of the
classroom. Her high school involvement exemplifies her well-rounded abilities to lead others and be a positive role model for
younger students in our community.

Briar is a person of high integrity who continually strives for personal growth. She sets high standards for herself and follows
through to make sure they are met. She has gained respect and trust from her peers, classmates, and teachers. She strives for
excellence yet welcomes constructive feedback and is humble and honest in her self-inventory and reflection. These are the
attributes of a life-long learner, and in my opinion, a person of high character.

Briar’s character is exemplary and she continually shows respect and a caring attitude towards adults, peers, and teammates by
listening to them and having empathy for all. She is fair in the way she treats others and is not afraid to stand up for what is right
respectfully and responsibly. Briar follows through on her word and is someone we can count on to show up for various activities,
thus demonstrating trustworthiness. In the midst of all of her success, Briar remains committed to her academics, which can be seen
through the multiple advanced, college, and dual credit courses, which she has not only passed but did so with the highest level of
proficiency. To top it off, Briar is a 3.91 (unweighted) student, is in the top 5% of her class, and is a member of National Honor
Society.

Several of Briar’s positive attributes can be attributed to her upbringing. Helping others and being active in our community is at the
cornerstone of Briar’s core beliefs. Briar has accumulated over 50 hours of community service while remaining active in multiple
student activities and organizations during her time in high school.

Briar Crain is an excellent leader with a promising future. At Nevada, we feel fortunate to have Briar as a member of our
community; she is an asset to our school district and a great role model for our younger students. Simply put, Briar Crain is one of
the best of the best high school students I have had the opportunity to work with both in and out of the classroom and I would
recommend her for every scholarship and/or occupation opportunity possible. If you have any further questions, please contact me
