Acute health: Shadow health: January 2021 - April 2021


● Worked through pharmacology case loads and complex medication math to ensure each client
was taking appropriate medications for their admitting and secondary diagnoses.
● Provided care, and worked through leadership modules to understand how to work through
leadership conflict, ethical dilemmas, and how to work in a positive work environment as a leader
and advocate.

Chronic health: Shadow Health: September 2020 - December 2020


● Provided focused assessments to all bodily systems affected by chronic illnesses, with a focus on
specific, common chronic illnesses. Developed plans of care for client’s with chronic illnesses,
while assessing their individual needs with their chronic illness.
● Successfully completed lab skills, and lab exams for functional assessments, head-to-toe, IV
therapy, medication administration, injections, wound care, catheterization, post-mortem care, and
tracheostomy care.

Community: 176 hours: Peterborough Child and Family Center: 201 Antrim Street, Peterborough ON
January 2020 - April 2020:
● Worked alongside a lactation consultant to help run a lactation clinic, baby well clinic, and
program for young parents in a highschool. Worked with the agency to create a program to help
educate the interdisciplinary health team on the key messages of breast-feeding. Provided support
to parents and children in programs to promote health.

Maternal/Child (postpartum): 96 hours: Peterborough Regional Health Center: 1 Hospital Drive,


Peterborough ON. September - December 2019.
● Provided postpartum care to mothers and neonate’s. Assessed mothers and neonates using
head-to-toe assessments, and focused assessments. Provided oral medications, and injections, and
patient teaching. Gained rapport from patients to better assess their feelings and needs, to provide
support when needed.

Long term care: 72 hours: Springdale country manor: 2698 Clifford Line, Peterborough ON. January -
April 2019
● Provided activity of daily living support for clients with physical and/or cognitive impairments.
Assisted clients with bathing, toileting, feeding, morning and evening care, and head-to-toe
assessments while providing a safe and supportive environment.

EMPLOYMENT

Personal support worker (PSW): Plan A Peterborough: 175 George Street N, Peterborough ON.
January 2021 - present.
● Provided a safe, and positive environment for long-term care residents of various abilities to live.
● As a PSW worked to complete activities of daily living including: feeding, bathing, morning and
evening care, and activities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
● Worked with the moral standard to preserve dignity and respect for the aging population within
long-term care.
● Ensured confidentiality in communicating about each resident’s care needs to the care team.

● Provided a safe, positive, fun, and inclusive environment for children ages 5-12.
● As an inclusion facilitator worked 1:1 with children with a variety of different disabilities such as
down syndrome, autism, ODD, blindness, cerebral palsy, and cognitive impairments. Assisted the
camper with their activities of daily living for the camp environment, such as changing, feeding,
toileting, mobility, and socialization. Developed care plans with the child and their family to
ensure the child’s success in camp activities.
● As a camp supervisor and inclusion facilitator during the COVID-19 pandemic, created engaging
and interactive program planning for camp counsellors while maintaining COVID-19 regulations
and rules. Screened campers, and camp staff for COVID-19 on a daily basis. Supervised camp
staff to ensure COVID-19 regulations were followed. Provided support as an inclusion facilitator
1:1 to campers with various disabilities.

lottery. Provided product information and direction. Provided excellent customer service, and
shopping experience to customers.

● Volunteered to mentor first year nursing students to help navigate and give advice on
nursing school.
● Provided a supportive environment to encourage and first year nursing students with their
questions, and with advice about various courses, placements, and other topics pertinent
to nursing school.

● Volunteered to work with people with various disabilities, primarily as older adults.
● Monitored individuals with special needs while they worked at the barn, around horses,
and while riding horses.
