Present perfect tense merupakan tenses bahasa Inggris yang menyatakan suatu perbuatan, peristiwa,
kejadian yang terjadi pada waktu lampau dan masih ada hubungannya dengan waktu sekarang atau
untuk menunjukkan suatu peristiwa yang selesai pada waktu yang singkat (baru selesai). Setelah
memahami Contoh Present Perfect With, For, and Since serta Contoh Kalimat Present Perfect Tense
Verbal dan Nominal, maka ini waktunya berlatih contoh soal essay present perfect tense beserta
jawabannya.

Rumus Present Perfect Tense

Present perfect tense memiliki rumus atau formula dalam kalimat, yaitu:

S + have/has + been

S + have/has + kata kerja (verb) bentuk 3

Contoh Kalimat Present Perfect Tense

I have visited her twice.

I have not visited her twice.

Have I visited her twice?

Penggunaan Present Perfect Tense

Present perfect tense (waktu sempurna sekarang) digunakan untuk:

Menyatakan suatu perbuatan atau peristiwa yang terjadi di waktu lampau dan masih ada hubungannya
dengan waktu sekarang.

Contoh:

We have heard this since morning.

Menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang sudah terjadi.

Contoh:

She has given me souvenir.

Menyatakan suatu perbuatan ulangan pada waktu yang tidak tertentu, biasanya memakai kata
keterangan before, yet, never, ever, already.

Contoh:

They have ever met President Jokowi.

Menyatakan suatu perbuatan yang selesai pada waktu singat, biasanya menggunakan kata keterangan
just, last, finally, recently.

Contoh:

My friend has just arrived here.
