WEEK 11 TUTORIAL STRUCTURE
1. Mock presentation

Each student will get the chance to deliver their three-minute


speech in front of the class (please set-up your laptop/camera and
warm up your voice and body before entering the tutorial room)

2. Feedback

Each student will receive feedback from their tutor and peers on
what they can do to improve their overall delivery. They will also get
the chance to briefly talk about their speech

3. Break

To replicate the class format in Week 12, you will get two 5-minute
breaks. Please use this time to hydrate yourself, stretch and use the
toilet if you need to minimize interruptions during class.

4. Participation

Students are encouraged to provide feedback to each speaker –


speech clarity, tone of voice, volume, pitch, pace and pause.
Students’ participation will be assessed here.

WEEK 12 TUTORIAL STRUCTURE
1. 5-minute warm-up

Your tutor will take you through a very quick vocal warm-up sequence.
Please warm yourself up before entering the meeting room so that you
are ready to work

2. Presentation of speeches

The presentation of speeches will begin fifteen minutes after the class
start-time so please arrive on time. You will have 10 minutes after the
warm-up to make sure you are properly set-up.

3. Running Order List

A running order will be provided to you on the day of your


presentation. If you have to leave earlier on the day, please let your
tutor know in advance. You will need a valid reason for this.

4. Break

You will get two 5-minute breaks to allow you to get a drink, go to the
toilet and stretch. Unless you have informed your tutor in advance, all
students must stay until everyone has presented their speech.

FINAL ORAL PRESENTATION (AT3)

1. Connect with your body, breath and voice (tone, pitch,


volume, pace, pause)

2. Connect with what you are saying (words, images,


meaning, intention, emotions)

3. Connect with your audience (voice, eye contact, smile,


facial expression, gestures)

Common questions about AT4:

• How many journal entries in total will need to be included?

• Can I change the formatting style?

• Can I include pictures in my journal entries?

• How many weeks can be combined together?

• Is there a specific writing style I will need to follow?

FINAL WRITTEN ASSESSMENT (AT4)
When writing your journal entry, remember to:

• Structure and organize your ideas clearly and systematically – write


using complete sentences (do not use dot points or abbreviations)

• Provide specific examples used to tackle some of the challenges you


have encountered this semester

• Clearly explain your methodology for the one-minute pitch and final
presentation and reflect on what you've learnt/gained from them
