Why Thinking School?
1. The thinking curriculum is developed according to Thinking
School International framework, OECD Learner Compass 2030
and ASCD Whole Child Tenets.
2. The only curriculum that fulfills the needs of national
curriculum of Pakistan in its true essence.
3. Every teacher goes through a rigorous process of short listing
including entry test based on educational beliefs and
interviews. We ensure that our every teacher at model campus
or franchise is ASCD certified and is trained on teaching the
thinking curriculum
4. Only school having thinking walls where students can write
their ideas and solve the problems
5. Only school in Pakistan with authentic Montessori and not the
blend of several early years programs
6. Every student is an individual with individual needs and our
school is focused more on struggling students to help them
learn the best while maintaining their learning pace
7. The thinking school believes in organic model of education
where the greenhouse is responsible to provide right
conditions to a seed to germinate, instead of fixing the seed
8. We offer French, German, Mandarin and Arabic from class 1 as 6
optional languages
Why Thinking School?
9. The only school that offers STEM (Science Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics) curriculum with state of the art
STEM lab including 3-D Printers right from class 1.
10. The only school in Pakistan that offers Media-Arts as a subject
from class 1 to teach students as animated movie making, graphic
designing, photography, calligraphy, sculpture making, fine art and
broadcasting.
11. The only school that does not teach Personal, Social and Health
Education as forty minutes lecture but Health, safety, Social and
Emotional development is integrated in regular classrooms
12. There is no place for hatred at our schools. Every child is
beautiful creation of God regardless of skin color, race, religion,
special needs or gifted skills.
13. No bags till grade 5 and no standardized tests till grade 4. All
are formative assessment , not to judge but to diagnose where our
teachers can help more.
14. From grade 1 onwards, we do not have classrooms, but the
subject rooms.
15. Range of student clubs.
16. The only school that invites parents as teacher assistant to
become part of learning process. 7
Why Thinking School?

academic calendar and strong virtual collaboration of teachers at
franchise and model campus

system that brings virtual collaborations, HR, finance, Recruitment,

Our International Consultants
Dr. David Hyerle, Ed.D (Consultant for Thinking School Framework)
After gaining his elementary and secondary teaching credentials from the National/Bay Area Writing Project (UC Berkeley)
and teaching in diverse, high poverty California public schools, David received his masters and doctorate degrees from UC
Berkeley while also serving as an Exchange Scholar for two years at the Harvard School of Education under the supervision of
Dr David Perkins. David is an international leader in the field of thinking process development, literacy development, and
learner centred 21st century teaching, learning and assessment. David's ground-breaking book --"Visual Tools for
Constructing Knowledge" (ASCD, 1996)-- was distributed in the US and internationally to over 150,000 educators because of
its focus on the comprehensive, researched based practices for how teachers facilitate creativity, analytical thinking,
conceptual understanding and systems thinking using visual tools-- all with a focus student centred fluency for applying
thinking models to learning across disciplines. This book and multiple follow-up editions such as Visual Tools for Transforming
Information into Knowledge (Corwin Press), are the definitive texts for understanding how the visual brain and a full range of
models may be used to guide whole schools from rote teaching, learning and assessing in practical ways toward learner
centred thinking. David has always integrated the fields of cognitive-neuroscience, high quality collaborative teaching and
learning, connective leading, learning models, and assessment into the fabric of everyday classroom teaching, but with the
focus on whole school transformations. He may be best known as the developer of the Thinking Maps® model that has been
implemented around the world for 30 years using a dynamic, learner-centred whole-school change design. Presently, David is
Director/CEO of Thinking Schools International (TSI) a consulting group based in the US and working around the world to
share the comprehensive Thinking Schools approach to educational transformation in places such as Ethiopia, Norway,
Thailand, the UK, South Africa, China and Malaysia. For one example of the TSI work: Malaysia implemented the Thinking
Schools International approach and models as a foundation for their country-wide iTHINK program. Thinking Maps--
embedded with the TSI model--were introduced with Dr Art Costa's Habits of Mind design, starting with 10 whole school
model sites located as centers of excellence in key strategic areas around the country. This was followed by in depth Training
of 160 Malaysian Trainers, which was then supported across all 10,000 schools through an online programming approach in
order to service all schools, urban, rural and in remote areas. In the U.S., David is also Founding Director of Thinking
Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on research on thinking, leading and learning for those with the greatest need.
