Delhi Capitals had a dream run to the IPL final last year. After years of failed attempt, they could finally
make it to the playoffs. Delhi Capitals cannot go wrong this time. They are eyeing the trophy this time.

During the IPL 2021 auction, Delhi Capitals mainly required an overseas batsman at the top in place of
Jason Roy. They got Steve Smith. They were in need of a senior Indian bowler and they opted for Umesh
Yadav. And their satisfactory smile after acquiring Yadav said it all! They also got an Indian back-up
wicketkeeper for Rishabh Pant in the form of Vishnu Vinod, plus Sam Billings as an overseas
wicketkeeper-batsman. However, they failed to get an overseas batting all-rounder as back-up for
Marcus Stoinis. With most of the gaps covered, Delhi Capitals look strong enough to give tight run to all
for the title this year.
