(Science) –Adaptations of local plants and animals
Diagram of a dinosaur’s foot on a large piece of paper (3.3 feet long and 1.55
feet wide)
Book: “Curious George Dinosaur Track”
Shoes from everyone
Pencil
Crayon
Worksheet: “If the dinosaurs came back…”
Ask questions:
- Why do you think George said the tracks were from
dinosaurs?
Transition
- Show the paper with a track and let students guess
which animal created the track.
3 Practice and - Students sit in a circle, footprint in the middle, and 15-20 min
Production take their shoes off. Each student put one shoe at a
time while counting.
- When completed, ask students why we can’t see 3-5 min
dinosaurs anymore.
