Subject: Fantastic Work!

Dear Miles,

I would like to thank you for your priceless contributions and for being as involved as you are even
though you work long hours far from campus. I know that we both care deeply about the quality and
accuracy of our deliverables as we are both Accounting majors. We all had an amazing time celebrating
after presenting our stakeholder analysis, and I am glad I got to meet the fun, energetic, off-screen Miles.
It is hard to build chemistry strictly through Zoom, and I know that meeting in person will allow us to
work and communicate more effectively as a team.

Your passion and knowledge of the automotive industry has been the key factor in enabling us to hone in
on the actual issues Ford is facing. From your job of listening to people talk about their vehicles as a
valet, to your father’s insight as a key Ford marketing partner, the information you provide is truly
invaluable. You are the glue that holds this team together as Ford communication interns, not just any
run-of-the-mill communication interns.

Your dedication to assisting teammates and ability to multi-task are your two most treasured traits you
provide to the team. I know we can count on you at any hour, whether you are driving long distances to
work or getting ready to go out, to join a meeting and provide everyone with your car guru knowledge
that we all know and love. It is truly impressive how you extend a hand to provide every member of the
team with automotive insights that are unavailable online for their respective presentation portions, all
while driving to Marana. Although your knowledge is absolutely priceless, your game-time Zoom
presentation tendencies have room for improvement.

Non-verbal presentation skills are essential to building and maintaining one’s professional credibility.
You have a very animated, mobile presentation style which involves lots of hand gesturing and shoulder
movements. This can be effective when done in moderation; however, too much of it detracts from your
professional credibility. I also suffer from this restriction of movement, and I know we can improve by
recording each other, taking movement specific notes, and then watching those recordings. Another issue
that detracted from your professional credibility was your rushed transitions.

Transitions are essential in maintaining a team’s seamless, professional credibility throughout a

presentation. In both presentations, you presented your core information beautifully, then completely
froze when it came to the transition. However, this is a quick fix, and I know that when we specifically
rehearse transition this issue will be resolved in a matter of minutes.

With your dedication to ensuring that the entire team has the most insightful automotive information and
constant attendance despite your busy schedule, you have proved yourself an integral part of this team.
You have a tendency to move your body and hands around the camera and rush smooth transitions which
unfortunately both detract from your professional credibility. However, we can watch the footage of our
body language and specifically rehearse transitions to improve our professional credibility together. I am
aware this is a lot information, but I know you will thrive from the feedback and become even more
valuable to the team. Don’t hesitate to text or call me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Ryan
