LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 1

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:
a. identify the names of the different animals shown;
b. recognize the sounds produced by animals; and
c. perform mimicry of the sounds produced by animals.

III. Procedure

A. Preparatory Activities

1. Prayer
The teacher will choose among the pupils to lead the prayer.
2. Checking of Attendance
The teacher will ask the Class Beadle to be the one who will check the
attendance.
3. Classroom Management
The teacher will tell the pupils to arrange the chairs properly before they
sit.

B. Developmental Activities

1. Drill
The teacher will ask the pupils to stand up and shake their hands for ten
seconds.
2. Review
The teacher will ask about the topic of the last discussion.
3. Motivation
The teacher will present a video and let the pupils watch and sing along
with the song “Old MacDonald Had A Farm”.

IV. Lesson Proper

A. Activity
The class will be grouped into two (2). Each group will be given a set of
jigsaw puzzle. Each group should solve the puzzle as to what picture will be
formed. A representative from each group will present the picture, name the
picture and mimic the sound produced by what is in the picture.

B. Analysis
1. How do you find the activity?
2. What are the animals formed out of your puzzles?
3. What do you think of the lesson today?

C. Abstraction
The teacher will present different animals one at a time and mimic the sound
that each animal produces.
This is a cat. The cat says “meow, meow, meow”.

This is a goat. The goat says “meeeh, meeeh, meeeh”.

This is a cow. The cow says “mooo, mooo, mooo”.

This is a carabao. The carabao says “ungaa, ungaa,


ungaa”

This is a bird. The bird says “tweeet, tweeet, tweet”.

D. Application
The teacher will paste pictures on the whiteboard. Call for a pupil one at a
time and let the pupil give the name of the animal and let them mimic the
sound of the animals presented.
