Student’s Enrolment in Different Types of Courses

The visuals show students’ enrolment in different types of courses in Vision College in
2010 and 2012. The trend indicates most of the students tended to venture themselves
in art stream rather than in science stream from 2010 to 2012.

According to the pie charts, a research on the enrolment of the students had been
accomplished based on the different types of courses. The courses involved were
mainly based on two streams which were the science stream and the art stream.
Nursing and pharmacy were courses included in the science stream while business
studies, law and accountancy were the courses comprised in the art stream. In 2010,
17% of students enrolled for nursing courses but in 2012 the enrolment had increased
to 20%. Over 2 years, the increasing of students enrolled for nursing courses indicated
the increasing of students used to like the nursing courses too. Similarly, there was also
an increase in the enrolment for accountancy courses from 12% in 2010 to 17% in
2012, which recorded a 5% rise from 2010 to 2012 of the students enrolled for
accountancy courses.

Besides that, business studies also charted a drastic rise in 2012 which had achieved
27% from 19% in 2010. The number of students enrolled for business studies courses
had taken up the status of the number of students enrolled for law courses and made a
replacement to become the main course which the majority of students enrolled for it in
2012. Conversely, as recorded, there was a decline in the proportion of students
registering for law courses, from 42% in 2010 to 26% in 2012. The proportion of
students registered for law courses experienced a notable plunged which was around
16% in only 2 years’ time. In spite of that, student’s enrolment in pharmacy courses
remained the same at 10% in both years. In sum, we still could conclude that the
number of students who interested in art stream was far apart higher than the students
who interested in science stream. Undeniably, any kind of factors could make a change
in these statistically data. Result of the students could affect them on registering the
course; different cultural background could affect them on enrolling the course; their
own ambition and hobbies could affect them on choosing the course; the total number
of students took part in 2010 and 2012 might be different. All of these statements could
be the factors that influenced the enrolment of students in registering different courses.
Everything could be changed in only 2 years’ time based on the pie charts. We could
not expect of getting the same value or the same percentage as there were exactly
many factors that would involve unofficially.

In conclusion, there was a clear correlation between the factors such as result, cultural
background, own ambition and hobbies, total number of students took part in both years
and the students’ enrolment in different types of courses in Vision College. Students
were encouraged to make a breakthrough on themselves and registered for the
appropriate courses that suited them.
