As an educational leader I aim to develop students as global citizens, college and career ready,
prepared to succeed in the 21st Century. This drives me, as a leader and educator, to provide
students with a safe, caring, stimulating and rigorous school environment in which students are able
to develop holistically. It is important within a school culture that children not only meet the demands
of the 21st century as critical thinkers and the rigor of Common Core standards, but also mature and
grow as individuals.

It is within a school environment that children are able to grow academically as well as personally. As
a leader I intend to build a community amongst all stakeholders in which everyone actively
participates in the continuous process of learning and growth. It is important that students, families,
educators and faculty/staff are appreciated and embraced for their commitment to a community
and encouraged to continue their development in the lifelong process of learning.

After serving as an administrator and teacher at the TK-12 level for several years in public, charter
and private settings I am seeking leadership opportunities where my dedication, teamwork,
organization and attention to detail will be valued. For example, my collaborative spirit enables me to
appreciate and embrace multiple perspectives as well as practice inclusiveness. This is essential in
collaboration and completing tasks in a respectful and productive way. In addition, I am a highly
organized individual. My organizational skills enable me to manage my time in order to take on
multiple tasks at once and still ensure they are done effectively. Also important is my dedication and
enthusiasm to education. My motivation and determination to provide an equitable and excellent
education for all students drives me to challenge myself, continuously learn and constantly reflect
on my pedagogy. Collaboration, organization and determination are assets in working with a multi-
faceted staff on a daily basis and are some of the skill sets that I intend to bring to any organization.

Education provides children with the opportunity to grow intellectually and holistically in order to
develop as a scholar and a citizen. As an educational leader I welcome challenge and opportunity
where I am able to inspire and create change for improvement in our schools and the education
system.
