SMP Connection Kit Setup: Outline
Setup Procedure
1) Turn OFF the power of the instrument.
2) Open the Top cover of the instrument.
3) Jack down the ANL.
4) Remove the connector which is connected to the DTS.
5) Separate the ANL from the DTS.
6) Take the cable connected to the DTS through the whole “A” and put it inside the ANL, and the
fix it with the SKB band
7) Remove screws fixing the right side cover, and remove the right side cover.

Tip
• If you can access the cable connector and the Teflon tube of the FA unit from the right
side of the ANL when it is in the DTS connection, you do not perform the following steps
until the step 25).
8) Remove the Teflon tube from the syringe head for sample.
9) Remove the screw “A” fixing the M220-SA unit.
10) Pull the M220-SA unit forward and remove the connector [877] for the motor and connector
[878] for the sensor which are connected to the syringe and remove it.

11) Remove the connector [502] and the Teflon tube which are from bottom of the FA unit and
connected to the MF6925 connection board.
12) Unscrew the 2 screws fixing the flame on the MF6925 connection board and remove the
connection board.

13) Cut the tie wrap fixing the Fair-Rite core, and remove it from the connection board.
14) Remove the syringe head and the connected Teflon tube MF5159.

19) Fix the removed the fitting and the faston terminal block with screws to the MF4983 connection
board which is enclosed the SMP connection kit.

20) Fix the removed clamp and connector on the MF6925 connection board, at this time check the
right direction to connect.
21) Fix the faston terminal (cable) to the faston terminal block.

Note
• When you fix the connector, the marking which is marked at the step 16) should be seen.
• Fix the clamp that the pipe joint side of the MD9212 can open.
22) Remove the name plate of the connector No. [502] from the MF6925, and put it on the MF4983.
23) Fix the Fair-Rite core to the connection board with a tie wrap.

24) Fix the MF4983 connection board to the ANL flame with 2 screws.

25) Fix the MF5159 Teflon tube which is connected with the syringe head to the top of the fitting.
26) Connect the Teflon tube of the FA unit and the cable connector [502] to the connection board.
27) Fix the MF5328 R cover 2 and the MF5329 R cover 3 which is enclosed the SMP connection
kite to the ANL, and fix it with screws.

28) Take the grounding cable and the 24 V connector [300], which are fixed inside the ANL, out
from “A” to the outside the ANL.
29) Remove the terminator connected to the cuvette wash control PCB (MV3981) [COM2].
30) Follow the procedure of the Part G5 after this to connect to the sampler.
