I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Crystal Tippett, a recent

Environmental Educator here at the Don Lee Center. Crystal is an exceptional employee,
during the hiring process her resume and cover letter met all of my expectations but it
was when talking with Crystal that I was really impressed by her manner and experience.
It was clear throughout the interview process that she is positive and well spoken, as well
as passionate about teaching.

During her time at Don Lee teachers, chaperones and students have mentioned Crystal by
name as a knowledgeable educator. Our educators are trained to teach 30 different
lessons that meet with the North Carolina Standards in Science, Social Studies and
Geography. Crystal excelled at teaching these activities to over 3,500 students of
different ages and backgrounds at Don Lee in the spring of 2019.

In addition to a rigorous work schedule, of 12-14 hour days Monday- Friday, Crystal took
on additional projects to help better the programs we offer. Most notably, she was
instrumental in compiling an interactive younger elementary activity book for the center
to take into schools. This book is an overview of science standards for grades 1- 3, and is
designed to get kids thinking about the environment.
