Cold weather and hockey may be world-renowned Canadian brands, but apart from its climate and

leisure activities, this great nation has much to offer newcomers.

I chose to move to Canada because of the wonderful and helpful Canadians I had met on my life journey.
When I first arrived from India in 1999 with my family, everyone was extremely nice and kind, and
tolerated the hardships of my language, helping me learn to speak and learn English very quickly.

Canada prospers as a nation because it has always been a nation founded and made up of people who
came here voluntarily, who migrated to the opportunity to find a new life, and who worked hard,
generation after generation, to build a tolerant society. Unlike many other places, here in Canada
everyone is free to dress as they wish, speak English or their mother tongue or ancestor, worship and
live in peace.

Canada is a nation where the culture of peace has deep roots. People here can express their views
freely, participate in politics and rely on a fair judicial system to protect their rights. Many national and
cultural policies help everyone find their place in society.

Ours is one of the largest countries in the world, with free health care, education for children with
physical or mental disabilities, and many non-profit organizations such as the Friendship Circle, which
help people improve public health, without using cyberspace. And, yes, we love the game of hockey with
our four different seasons. Contribute to the Canadian natural instinct for peace and love - and you can
see that we have it all here, in abundance.

I find it a pleasure to live in a multicultural area like the Greater Toronto Area because, I have the
opportunity to meet people from very different backgrounds and learn about their culture. I believe that
Canada as a whole is drawing strength from its multicultural spirit.

Canadians have worked hard to create a country that opens its doors to all, regardless of race, religion
or society, and thus, a country that respects and gives equality to all.

Although violence is rampant in many parts of the world, and takes many forms, Canada has built a
culture of peace by embracing and developing values, attitudes and attitudes associated with equality,
tolerance, sharing, generosity and respect.
Canada is my home now, and I love it so much and I love such a beautiful country. It has given me
hundreds of special moments and the opportunity to build amazing friendships and continue to make
new acquaintances.

I would say that Canadians get along with everyone, unless someone tries to trample us or our friends, if
so, be careful, because we will resist. All in all, the people of Canada took it easy, and were blessed with
vast tracts of water and plenty of clean drinking water, swimming, and fishing. Our forests are rich in
wood and beautiful scenery, and our farms are producing good fruit. We may have to contend with cold
and snow in winter, but that is tolerable and enjoyable for many.

I am proud to say that I am Canadian, and I am proud that my children will be able to say the same. No
other country in the world has the freedom and decisions that our Canada can offer.
