Human Computer Interaction: Smart Contact Lenses of The Future
Human Computer Interaction: Smart Contact Lenses of The Future
Working:
That depends on what kind of lenses you are talking about. Essentially, smart
lenses use technology to give you benefits that go beyond just seeing clearly.
Smart lens technology in the future could let you take photographs with your
eyes or monitor your blood glucose levels.
Drug Delivery: These smart contact lenses can deliver medicine to the eye
gradually over time. As well as improved application compared to eye drops,
this method improves the speed and the amount of medicine that is
distributed to the eye with little to no side effects.
Thermal Vision: This technology would allow soldiers to see better at night,
allowing them to sense humans, animals and devices like mobile phones
through the heat they produce.
Telescopic Lenses: Contact lenses that can zoom your vision in and out like a
telescope. These lenses have fitted mirrors in the central part of the lens, with
the use of 3D glasses, the contact lens wearer can zoom in and out of their
surroundings with ease. This would be especially useful for people with age-
related Macular degeneration (AMD).
Tech: lenses would be powered by sensors that convert power from your eye
movement and storage would be kept directly on the lens.
Ergonomic:
Lens appearance is semi-circle
like eye ball
Use simple light colour
Working:
A smartwatch screen just isn’t big enough to allow many interactions. You have
room to tap or swipe the screen, but that’s pretty much it. SkinTrack is a new
technology developed by the Human-Computer Interaction Institute’s Future
Interfaces Group, which expands your smartwatch’s “touchscreen” over your
entire hand and arm–just by wearing a specially designed ring.
Imagine using your palm to make a call on your Apple Watch by hovering a
finger over your hand, acting as a cursor on a dial pad. SkinTrack could even be
used to allow you to play more sophisticated video games on your wearable,
by enabling a far broader library of gestures to control what’s happening on
that postage stamp-sized screen.
Ergonomic:
Touch screen
Wrist band to wear
black colour
specially designed ring
which have sensor on it
Interaction Style:
Dimensional Interfaces:
Example: City Racing 3d game’s interface is 3 dimensional.
Improve: I can add voice for turn left right.
Natural Language:
Example: Amazon Alexa voice
Improve: I can add different accent styles or different languages to improve
Alexa
WIMP Interfaces:
Example: Microsoft Excel has window, icon, menu and pointer
Improve: Add voice for typing or make excel sheets, also add different styling
combinations. So that after click 1st style you can change your colour, font
style, font size etc.
