Cyber Bullying Santusht 8 Unity

Hello Everyone,Today we are going to talk about Cyber Bullying which goes around the whole world.
Did you know that 43% of students have been bullied online and 1 out of 4 of these students have
been a victim more than once?

Firstly,I’m going to talk to you about schools supporting children which are getting
cyberbullied.Many schools have children who suffer from cyber bullying.

Cyberbullying involves using technology to harm, intimidate, and embarrass others. One form of
cyberbullying called “trolling” occurs when anonymous Internet users intentionally post
inflammatory content in an attempt to provoke and upset other users. While much effort has been
made to counteract bullying in schools, the online and anonymous nature of cyberbullying makes it
difficult to regulate.

Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place over digital devices like cell phones, computers,
and tablets.Cyberbullying includes sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false,
or mean content about someone else.

Which country has the highest rate of cyberbullying?


The country with the highest rate of cyber bullying awareness was Sweden, with 91 percent
of respondents reporting that they knew about cyber bullying. According to Ipsos, 75 percent
of global respondents were aware of cyber bullying.
There was one student who killed herself because of suffer of cyberbullying,Rebecca Ann
Sedwick (2000–2013), age 12, American middle school student who committed suicide by
jumping due to bullying. Sedwick was a seventh grader at Crystal Lake Middle School in
Lakeland, Florida. Sedwick was cyberbullied and bullied in person for one and a half years.

WAYS TO PREVENT CYBER BULLYING


Educate yourself: To prevent cyberbullying from occurring you must understand exactly what it
is. Research what constitutes cyberbullying, how and where it occurs, and talk with your friends
about what they are seeing and experiencing.

Raise awareness: Bring awareness to cyberbullying whether it be through a movement, a club


an event or campaign. Knowledge is power

Never open messages from people you don't know: Delete all messages without reading
them from people you don't know, as they could contain viruses and infect your computer. The
same goes for messages from known bullies. It is best to not engage and ignore them.
