1 GENERAL

The product must conform to the manufacturer’s data-sheet as well as to the

more precise requirements in this product specification.

1.1 DESCRIPTION

VITAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS, see paragraph 4.

Electromagnetic shielding gasket mainly used for creating low impedance

ground paths between electrically conductive chassis elements.

4 VITAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

This product forms part of a product with a special safety approval. Changes
must not be introduced without previous confirmation by the design
responsible. The following requirements must be fulfilled:

1. UL-recognized OCDT2 (see online certifications directory at http://www.ul.com).

2. Manufacturer and type as specified in LXA 102 103/-

(ELIZA supplier info).

3. Flammability class UL94 HB for MGS 105 11/1

and UL 94V-0 or UL 94 HF-1 for MGS 105 11/2

4. Material to be stated in a material certificate supplied with each shipment.

5 PRODUCT QUALITY

The product shall meet the requirements in Quality specification,

105 63-2031 Uen.

No loose fragments or particles from the gasket are allowed.

No kinds of visible traces of fluids are allowed when the gasket has been
compressed for 24 hours.

6 MARKING

Each component shall be marked with the manufacturer’s name and/or

trademark.
If limit in space on the component the marking must be on the package.
The marking on the component must be resistant to mechanical wearing and
common fluids that may be used at normal handling, storage and operation.

7 PACKING

The package shall be marked according to the following:

1. Ericsson product number.

2. Manufacturer's name or trademark and product designation.

3. Date of manufacture, preferably year and week in a digit code according

to ISO 8601 (yyyyWvv) or batch code.

4. Number of components.

10 INTERNAL INFORMATION

10.1 SURFACE TREATMENT

The surface treatment of mating surfaces shall be electrically conductive.

10.2 MOUNTING

The mounting surfaces shall be smooth and free from grease, dirt or
insulating paint.

10.3 INSPECTION DIRECTION

Control of dimensions and finish.
