This pattern piece goes with the photo provided by

Lecien Fabrics. See my step-by-step photos and
more detailed instructions for sewing it together at

Print the pattern piece from pages 2-9 of this

document. A diagram for taping the pages together
is below.

Fabric needed:

• 1 yard Oxford Fabric from Lecien - or other 44’’

wide home decor weight fabric

Cut:

• 1 from the pattern piece on the fold of fabric

• 2 strips 2 1/2'' x 24'' (for the neck straps)
• 2 strips 2 1/2'' x 35'' (for the waist ties)
• 1 rectangle 9'' x 7'' (for the pocket)

Hemming:

Hem all of the apron edges.

Sewing the straps:

Fold each strap piece in half lengthwise. Stitch along one short edge and
the long edges. Turn right side out with a chopstick or turning tool. Press
flat. Also press the raw edged end over 1/2’’.

Pin and stitch the straps to the corners as shown in the image above (or
in my blog post).

Finishing:

Fold the side and bottom edges of the pocket rectangle to the wrong side
by 1/2’’ and press. Press the top edge of the pocket over to the back by
1’’ twice and press. Sew close to the folded edge.

Pin the pocket to the apron front in the desired location. Stitch in place
around the sides and bottom.
