Problem # 1:
Draw the Free Body Diagram (FBD) for the full structure and then for each element of the
following structures. Also, for structure 1.c) find the forces acting on each element.

Problem # 2:
Draw a full FBD for the beam shown, then show a FBD for a cut through section BC. (Assume x
starts from the left end of the beam).

Problem # 3:
Draw a full FBD of the following structure and find the reactions at O and C (they could be
functions of T1 and T2). The bearings are designed to support radial loads only.

Homework problems are due next Monday (Dec. 21st 2020). We will have a quiz on the same day.
