Sogamoso Boyacá

City overview

Basic city information it is

known as the city of the sun and

steel, its average temperature of

inhabitants, located in the

Sogamoso was on September 6,

1810 and is 209 years’ old.

The culture part it was founded by an indigenous Chibcha Mwiskas family that inhabited

In the economic part, trade is interregional between the eastern plains and the center of

the country, the steel industry, building materials, the exploitation of limestone, coal and

marble, and also the agricultural sector, the cultivation of corn, potatoes, peas, onion

bulb, pea and beans.

Archaeological Museum of Sogamoso: It is important to visit to know our culture, our

customs, beliefs of where we come from. there is also large collection of stones, bones,

ceramics, textiles, instruments in coal among others.

St. Martin's Cathedral of tours: this is located in the heart of the city "Plaza de la

you should visit Sogamoso because it is a very beautiful, clean city, has many tourist

sites and there are people who welcome you in a pleasant and friendly way
