Pendahuluan

The relationship between Indonesia and Australia has been underpinned by a

Momerandum of Understanding. In February 2020, the terms of the Australia Indonesia MoU
on transport security were renewed, agreed and sign by Minister in Canberra in the presence of
the Indonesian President and the Australian Prime Minister.

Fulfilment of national and international standards also one of the most important things to
be focused on. Cooperation and collaboration from embassy and international partner are an
excellent option as our mission is to improve the quality of transportation and services that are
reliable, convenient, efficient, safe, and sustainable. we need to encourage young people
especially our cadets to be a professional, capable, and innovative.

Safety and security and improvement in public transportation in every country is very
important public transportation process a higher rate of safety and security has happened to be
more passengers in transportation the problems become worse because of acceptable and
integrated approaches the question is why security awareness is so important.

So far the cooperation between Indonesia and Australia includes: Policy and standards,
quality assurance, Air cargo, Threat and risk, Identity security, Trusted insider training,
Governance support, English language training, Security awareness. But there are many factor
that threat the transportation security system, such as : terrorist, criminals, Civil disorder,
Disgruntled employees and Activist. The threats can be avoid by some of preventive system, just
like : Risk assessment, perimeter or access control, screening, patrols, CCTV and awareness
from our people.

Australian engagement with Indonesia has matured into ongoing cooperative and
collaborative relationship with specific focus and transport security capacity building.
Relationship between Australia and Indonesia has been underpinned by a memorandum of
understanding in February 2020 the terms of Australia Indonesia m o u on transport security will
renewed agreed and signed by ministers in Canberra in the presence of Indonesian President and
Australian Prime Minister.
Kesimpulan

In order to develop a culture of security awareness, all what we can do are give training
and education for all civil people, sharing information about how important the transportation
awareness, involve the airport or port community and implement suspicious activity reporting
program. Suspicious activity is any observed behaviour that could indicate terrorism or terrorism
related crime including surveillance, elicitation, tests of security and suspicious behaviour.

That threats in the world of transportation can come at any time, be it threats from
terrorists, civilians, piracy and others. Building strong security awareness can improve detection,
reporting and resolution of suspicious or criminal activity; and Promote a culture of security and
crime prevention throughout the transport sector. Suspicious Activity can also be defined as: "An
individual or group act that falls outside of the normal acceptable standards for that particular
person or area”.
How we develop a culture of security awareness by:
• Training and Education
• Sharing information
• Involve community airports / ports
• Implementing the Suspicious Activity Reporting Program

An effective security culture is fundamental to keeping the entity and its personnel safe
from threats, a healthy and strong security culture helps to increase internal and external trust,
create consistent positive behavior, and engage productively with risks. Factors such as race,
ethnicity and / or religious affiliation are not suspicious. Behaviors that reasonably indicate
criminal activity related to terrorism must be disseminated through the appropriate channels
