Extraordinary Calibration
• IPK disimpan di BIPM sejak 1889
• IPK hanya digunakan dalam dua kali pengukuran yaitu
‘second ‘ dan ‘third’ periodic verification (2ndPV dan
3rdPV)
• Hasil 3rdPV : Salinan IPK massanya berubah terhadap
IPK sebesar 69 g per 100 tahun • Untuk mengantisipasi redefinisi kg
• 2013, CIPM menyetujui pengukuran IPK dan semua
salinannya (extraordinary calibration)
• Periode pelaksanaan akhir 2013  2014
• Hasil : terdapat pergeseran sebesar 35 g
• BIPM mengeluarkan amandemen semua sertifikat yang
pernah dikeluarkan sepanjang tahun 1992  2014
termasuk sertifikat E0 milik Puslit Metrologi LIPI
• CCM merekomendasikan setiap NMI untuk
mengevaluasi efek pergeseran

Kesimpulan
• Sejak 1889, IPK telah dipakai sebagai realisasi kilogram
• Pengukuran konstanta Avogadro,NA, dan konstanta Planck,h, menggunakan
tehnologi canggih telah berhasil mengukur kedua konstanta tersebut dengan
ketidakpastian yang jauh lebih baik dari ’long term mass stability’ IPK
• Redefinisi kg memungkinkan untuk mengukur besaran massa, gaya dan torsi
dalam nominal kecil secara langsung
• Redefinisi SI akan berlaku efektif sejak 20 Mei 2019
