1 Introduction
A great storage solution for imaging centers and dental clinics with CBCT equipment, OnDemand3D™
Server allows users to manage and store DICOM data in a centralized server and eliminates the
duplication of data on multiple workstations.
OnDemand3D™ Server
OnDemand3D™ Server handles the storage and streaming of DICOM data to the OnDemand3D™ client.
With JPEG2000 image format, it provides a way to efficiently store data and stream at incredible speed.
OnDemand3D™ Server is capable of storing and streaming data in its original form or converting it to
JPEG2000, which can compress data up to 1/20th of its original size. This process increases storage
efficiency and greatly reduces loading time.
Access is not limited to OnDemand3D™ clients. Users will be able to access OnDemand3D™ Server
through other DICOM viewers with PACS communication capabilities. Compressed DICOM data will
be automatically decompressed when data is retrieved by a DICOM viewer other than an
OnDemand3D™ client.
The OnDemand3D™ Project Viewer is a wallet-friendly option offered to be used in conjunction with
either OnDemand3D™ Dental or OnDemand3D™ App. Any project files created and saved to the
OnDemand3D™ Server can be opened and operated on with a Project Viewer. Project Viewers do
not have the DBM module and hence, do not have their own database, but are otherwise fully
functional.
