QTOF
BENC SCIEX
11 HTOP SCIEX X500R
The QTOF system is an accurate mass solution designed like no other with workflows for various
levels of user. The high resolution mass spectrometer is robust enough for high sample
throughput powerful enough for research and discovery
Amongst the many exciting workflows you can do on the QTOF system, MRMHR is one of them.
This means you can do the targeted quantitation you need at trace levels in a similar format to
how you would acquire your data on a triple quadrupole system.
One Single Integrated Interface. The OS Software Platform puts MS control, data processing
and reporting at your fingertips. The guided workflow allows for minimal MS expertise and gets
you to biological insights fast
Simplified Operation. Engineered for simplicity and service accessibility-Single Injection Flow
and an N-optic design, heated TOF, integrated calibration all with a minimized footprint

Routine and Robust. Automated and integrated mass calibration allows enhanced stability
while new diagnostic and tuning tools allow for more uptime.
Libraries Enable Higher Confidence in Metabolite Identification. Get to actionable results
quickly with user-friendly processing software and a validated biologically relevant metabolite
library that can be expanded with other validated libraries
Powered by OS the QTOF system presents all the data you need and would expect with and
MRM workflow. The customizable software interface enables you to include the following and a
lot more:
• Retention Time - Monitor the drift of
your analyte
• Calculated Concentration - How much
of your analyte is present
• Ion Ratios - To ensure regulatory complience

Specification

MS type : Quadrupole-Time of Flight (QTOF) or equivalent

High performance N-optic TOF analyzer with an effective flight path of approximately 2
meters, six separate temperature stabilization drones heaters to ensure the system maintains
mass accuracy even through longer runs
The instrument should have a direct atmosphere-to-vacuum interface module with a curtain
gas barrier for maintaining analyzer cleanliness and optimizing ion declustering and have an
active source exhaust for the removal of gasses within the ionization source.
The detector should be a pulse measurement with a 4-anode enhanced dynamic range
microchannel plate detector, and a time-to-digital converter (TDC) with timestamps of leading
digital pulses that are recorded with a single shot time resolution of 26psec
Ionization source : Turbo Source System (Ion source with ESI twin sprayer Probe and APCI twin
sprayer Probe), A source have combining ESI and APCI (twin channel probes) modes for
automated calibration. Offers the same high flow characteristics as the regular Turbo ESI source
(flowrates from 5 to 3000 mL/min) without splitting and APCI source (flowrates from 200 to
3000mL/min)
Sensitivity, POS TOF/MS : Using the Twin Sprayer probe in TOF-MS mode, reserpine 1pg on
column, S/N > 750: 1 RMS
Sensitivity, POS MS/MS Quant : Using the Twin Sprayer Probe in
MS/MS mode, reserpine 1pg on
column, S/N > 1750: 1 RMS
Scan Speed, MS/MS : Up to 100Hz (100 MS/MS spectra per second)
Resolution, MS : Equal to or grater than 42,000 (FWHM) measured on the (M+6H) charge

m/z 813 fragment ion of Flu-Fibrinopeptide B
Mass Accuracy Over Time, External : Less than 2 ppm RMS over 12 hours of LC-MS
Polarity Switching : Yes (computer controlled)
Linear Dynamic Range : Equal to or greater than 4 orders of magnitude inter-scan linear
dynamic range without signal reduction
Mass Range : TOF : up to 40 kDa
