OF POWER GENERATING EQUIPMENT

1. TURBINE GENERATOR & AUXILIARIES:

Type : Single reheat multi-cylinder tandem

compound, condensing steam turbine
directly driving a 3000 rpm, 2-pole,
50Hz, electric power generator.

Nominal Capacity : 300,000 KW at 33 °C condenser cooling

water temperature.

Normal Operating Frequency Range : 47.5 to 51.5 Hz

Regenerative feed heating arrangement : Three stages of LP heaters (shell and

tube design), one spray/tray type direct
contact deaerating heater and two stages
of HP heaters (shell and tube design).

Boiler feed water pumps : 3 x 50% capacity Electric Motor driven

horizontal, centrifugal BFP and driven
by 6.6 kV motors respectively.

Condensate extraction pumps : 3 x 50% capacity vertical, centrifugal

CAN type construction electric motor
driven.

Generator : 300000 kVA output at 0.85 power

factor (lagging) 3 pH, 50 Hz and 20 kV
voltage.

2. STEAM GENERATOR & AUXILIARIES:

Type : Pulverized fuel, natural circulation, two-

pass, balanced draft, semi-outdoor type,
pulverized coal fired unit with
associated auxiliaries suitable for both
constant and sliding pressure operation.

Nominal Capacity : 1010.1 Tones/Hr (max.)

: Multi-field, multi-path electrostatic type
suitable for limiting dust emission
below 50 mg/Nm3 at outlet with one
field out of service with worst coal at
100% BMCR.
: Slow speed bowl or ball and race
type in **N+1 configuration.
: Direct suspended firing with state-of-
the-art low NOX burners giving stable
fire between 40-100% BMCR without
oil firing.
: Light Diesel Oil for cold start and for
support (capacity up to 10% BMCR).
Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) for flame support
upto 30 % of BMCR.
: Bottom Ash : Disposal to ash dyke in
slurry form.
Fly Ash : In dry condition through
vacuum and by
