Mahindra EPC Services Pvt Ltd (“MEPC”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mahindra

Group, a US$ 8.0 Billion group having a strong presence in automobile & automotive
components, farm & energy equipment, telecom & software, infrastructure sector.
Mahindra Group has recently forayed in “cleantech business” and has identified Solar
sector as strategic opportunity to enter. MEPC will offer turnkey solutions for grid
connected solar power generation plans and various off-grid applications. It shall
execute grid connected solar power plant projects which shall have capacity ranging
from 1 MWp to 15 MWp. It is currently in process of building a team of competent
professionals. It is looking for following position in its MEPC Project execution Team.

• Reporting to: Head – Projects
• Overall responsibility: Person shall be responsible for environment/ health and safety
related aspects during project design, engineering and execution at various project
sites. MEPC is currently executing various projects in the state of Rajasthan and
Gujarat. Selected person shall make visits to each such project sites at regular
intervals so as to ensure the compliance with applicable Quality and QMS standards
by both MEPC project team as well sub-contractors appointed at respective project
sites. Selected person will also formulate Quality policy for MEPC considering
applicable codes and shall also work towards obtaining various ISO standards
including but not limited to ISO 9001 etc. Person shall actively engage with system
design and engineering team to understand technical specifications so as to ensure
that plant design incorporate required Quality standards. Selected person should
have sound knowledge of applicable Quality standards in India.

• Prior experience: Person should be having a minimum 5 years of experience in

relevant areas. Person should have worked with leading industrial houses / EPC
companies and should have managed Quality department for a minimum period of 2
years.

• Qualifications: M.E./ B.E. (Civil) from a reputed engineering college preferably
NIT/IIT.
• Should have ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certificate

• Key areas of responsibility:

• Construction Site Investigation: Thoroughly investigating the construction sites.

• Detailed Design Development: Before starting any work, a civil engineer must
ensure complete design details of architectural, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical
drafting and designs.
• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design
specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
• Risk Analysis: Ensuring safety of workers and users of the facility on site during
the construction work. Thorough with risk management programs.
• Personnel Management: Excellent Leadership quality required.
• Labor Management: Excellent capability of labor handling. Laborers should
always work at their optimum capacity. Issues: When there is a problem in
design, the solutions should always be logical.
• Equipment Purchase: Ensure that no faulty equipments are at site and ability to
check the quality of equipments.
• Deadline Management: The project must be finished within the stipulated dead
line.

i. Formulation of EHS policy for the company considering applicable standard

and generally acceptable industry practices
ii. Ensuring compliance with applicable EHS standard during design/
engineering, project execution and O&M period.
iii. Preparation of applications to seek necessary EHS approvals from competent
authorities and seek approvals from them in timely manner.
iv. Submit compliance report (both for internal and external agencies)
v. Developed a Safety Manual, Job specific Checklists, and Site Emergency
Plan etc for Power plant Site.
vi. Operating all electrical equipment to carry out safe Break down and
Preventive Maintenance work
vii. To come up with proposals for corrective or preventive measures, and
investigate, analyze and review accidents or near misses within the
organization and any construction site
