A BREAF READING

Which music do you prefer?

Three teenagers give their opinions.

I like all king of music especially when the singers are female. In pop I like Britney and
Christina Aguilera, but I prefer Christina –I think she has better voice- and in Latin music I really like
Shakira. She has much more talent than Paulina Rubio. Jenny. 21 years old.

I prefer rock because is faster than pop. And the words are more interesting, pop is always
about live and feelings. But rock is more varied –sometimes they are even about politic- rock is also
harder and more exciting than pop. I definitely prefer rock. Elvis Norberto, 20 years old.

I only like Latin music. Salsa and merengue are great for dancing, much better than pop or
rock. The danced are more difficult but they are more fun too. Latin music is richer as well -there are
saxophone, trumpet…- not just guitar and drums. Latin music is fantastic, I love it. Katia, 19 years old.

JIM: Oh, that perfect I will take it. Where do I pay?

JIM: Thank you very much. And… could you tell me your name please?

Estas pueden ser afirmativas como negativas, y para formarlas solo
tomamos en cuenta el pronombre y el auxiliar que se empleó en la
interrogación.

Equality comparatives (as…as).

Se usa para comparar una cosa con otra de su misma especie, expresando
la igualdad de lo mismo al ser comparada, se forma con el comparativo AS, AS el cual significa
(tan…como).

4. She as happy as me.

The Electric Guitar.

Electric guitar were invented in the USA

in the 1930. The strings of electric guitar are
played with a small piece of plastic called a pick.
One of the most popular types of electric guitar is
the Fender Stratocaster. The Stratocaster was first
produced in 1954. It’s played by many famous
guitarists as Erick Clapton and others well known
in United States.
