Course Overview and Supply Needs:

This week we started a political cartoon unit in preparation for the fourth quarter
which we will begin with a rhetoric unit. Political cartoons use many rhetorical
elements and often allow students to see those elements prior to reading about
them, giving some background. This unit allowed us to look into these cartoons and
see what elements were being presented and how they might be being used.

-Filling out this Parent form when you have comments/questions/concerns you
would like addressed.

-Encourage your student to fill out the Student form when they have something to
be addressed with me.

-If your student was absent: Have them access the “Absent? Start Here!” slide in our
weekly slide deck. There they can view the direct instruction and class time via the
Meet video as well as complete any Pear Deck slides they missed during that day’s
lesson.
