World Space Week (WSW), as declared by the United Nations General Assembly. is held every year ‘uring 4-10 Oct, in more than 100 countries all over the world to celebrate the contributions of space science and technology for the benefit of mankind. 2. SUPARCO being the National Space Agency, annually organizes World Space Week (WSW) in Pakistan as WSW national coordinator to enhance awareness about space and related technologies and to highlight its role towards national development. 3. Each year active participation from Pakistan leads to achieve and sustain top three positions in World Space Week Association's (WSWA) Annual Global Rankings for WSW quantitative events. In 2019, Pakistan stood second with over 1300 events conducted throughout the country. Pakistan was featured in WSWA ‘Annual Report and an article by Chairman SUPARCO was published under spotlight. 4 This year, the globally celebrated event of space will be conducted on the theme of ‘Satellites Improve Lives’ 5. As the world is facing unexpected situations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, itis unlikely to organize public events however, over 30 competitions and online activities in 4x different categories, are designed for students and general public To engage individuals’ participation from home.
