PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
I am a dedicated educator and student advocate with an enthusiasm for STEM. My experience in both
leadership and assistant education roles has helped me become well versed in student monitoring, inclusive
practices and relationship building strategies that encourage students’ academic, social, and emotional
development. I have learned to adapt my skills to various situations with diverse individuals using my creativity
and flexibility to empower students to learn with me, not just from me.

EXPERIENCE
SPRING 2021
STUDENT TEACHER · P.S. 112 THE BRONXWOOD SCHOOL
• Worked as an in-person co-teacher in a second-grade general education classroom during a
global pandemic.
• Introduced cooperating teacher and student to virtual learning tools and platforms that
successfully increased student engagement, such as Didax, Splashlearn, and Nearpod.
• Used mathematics routines such as Notice and Wonder, number strings and number talks to
increase student discourse.

2015 – PRESENT
LEAD ENGINEERING INSTRUCTOR/ROBOTICS COACH ·HAND & MIND, LLC
• Collaboratively developed Scratch Jr. coding afterschool units for grades K – 2.
• Developed a 5-day crash course to take students with no robotics experience to advance
beginner or basic intermediate levels that is now used by all company coaches.
• Redesigned provided lessons to be culturally responsive and provide all students with access to
complex engineering concepts.
• Coached an elementary First Lego League team that reached the semifinals two years in a row.
• Coached and taught elementary school students who consistently received STEM scholarships
to private middle schools.

2014 – PRESENT

• Collaborated with teachers to create inquiry-based units, lending information garnered through
observation and student-educator relationships.
• Worked with special needs fifth grade students in self-contained classroom settings to surpass
IEP goals and enter middle school in a less restrictive environment such as ICT.
• Introduced students with emotional and behavioral disorders to apps like Mood Meter to help
them self-regulate and express themselves clearly.
• Identified student growth areas and suggested areas of improvement during relevant meetings,
including behavior intervention and IEP.
• Co-led the equity team that worked to modify curriculum and adjust teaching practices to be
more respectful and empowering to students schoolwide.
