Guidelines for the First Term Assessment


Application Letter and Resume Writing

Task Description: The students enrolled in English for Academic and Professional Purposes will
write an application letter and resume.

Task Objectives: Produce a well-written application letter and resume

Specific Guidelines:

1. The students will submit their revised application letter and resume through outlook email.

2. The students will follow the FILENAME (Surname, Initial of FN_Section/Strand_Course


Title) in submitting the document.

3. The format to be considered will be the ff.:

 Font Style – Any decent and professional font style


 Font Size – 11 or 12 pts.
 Page Size – Short Bond Paper

4. The date of submission is prior to their scheduled mock job interview in Oral
Communication.

5. This task will not accept late turn in’s. Hence, students who will fail to submit on the said
deadline will automatically get 25% of the total score of the term exam 100% which is
equivalent to 25 points.
