First of all I have to thanks to all-mighty ALLAH, without him I am nothing and not able
to anything. HE made able to understand and work efficiently. Now I would like to
express my deepest appreciation to all those who provided me the possibility to
complete this report. A special gratitude I give to my project manager, Sir Waqas-Bin-
Dilshad, whose contribution in stimulating suggestions and encouragement, helped me

Furthermore I would also like to acknowledge with much appreciation the crucial role of
the staff of Coca-Cola Pakistan who gave the permission to use all required equipment
and the necessary materials to complete the task “interview”. A special thanks goes to
Director HR of coca cola Pakistan, Amara Bashir, who help me to assemble the parts
and give the information through her interview.  Last but not least, many thanks go to
my uncle, Mr Qamar-Uz-Zaman who manage this interview and help me a lot. I have to
appreciate the guidance given by my class mate especially in my project presentation
that has improved my presentation skills thanks to their comment and advices.

Executive Summary:
This report tell us about the recruitment and selection process of Coca-Cola Pakistan,
that how this organization manage and run the process of hiring. In this report we also
get to know history of this organization and introduction. What is recruitment and its
types? Also know which department in the organization is responsible for recruitment
and selection and what its function is.

Introduction of organization:
The first plant was opened in Karachi and others major cities followed. In 2010,
CCBPL’s shares and management rights were acquired by Coca-Cola Icecap (CCI), a Page | 5
Turkey based bottler of The Coca-Cola Company. Where TCCEC owns the trademark
for Coca-Cola and copyrights for all marketing collateral in Pakistan, CCI Pakistan
produces, distributes and sells sparkling and still beverages of The Coca-Cola
Company in Pakistan.  
 
With an enduring commitment to building sustainable communities, the Company is
focused on initiatives that reduce its environmental footprint, support active, healthy
living, create a safe, inclusive work environment for its associates, and enhance the
economic development of the communities in which it operates. Coca-Cola Pakistan,
along with its 6 bottling plants in the region employs over 4,550 people in
across Pakistan currently. 
 
The Coca-Cola Export Corporation, Pakistan and Afghanistan region has a portfolio of
CSR programs, worth more than $8 million. The portfolio has 3 pillars powered by
‘sustainability; Women, Water and Education.  The integration of these pillars envisions
socio-economic development and improved livelihoods for the local communities. 

  Recruitment and selection Process:


Today we talk about the recruitment and selection process of coca cola company in
Pakistan. By the help of the interview which was collated by Salman Manzoor (BBA
student of numl university) with “Amara Bashir” (Director HR).

What is HRM?
Human resource management (HRM) is the practice of recruiting, hiring, deploying and
managing an organization's employees. HRM is often referred to simply as human
resources (HR). A company or organization's HR department is usually responsible for
creating, putting into effect and overseeing policies governing workers and the
relationship of the organization with its employees.

Recruitment;
Recruitment is the function of HR department in which this department hires employee
for amiable post
There are two types of recruitment;

 External recruitment; is the assessment of an available pool of job candidates,
other than existing staff, to see if there are any sufficiently skilled or qualified to fill
and perform existing job vacancies. It is the process of searching outside of the
current employee pool to fill open positions in an organization.
 Internal recruitment; internal recruitment is when the business looks to fill the Page | 6
vacancy from within its existing workforce. External recruitment is when the
business looks to fill the vacancy from any suitable applicant outside the business.

Coca-Cola Pakistan use the following recruitment process;


1-New employee;
- Need arises.
- Approved from GM before sending to HR manager.
2-Internal ads;
- Employee who fulfill the requirements can avail this opportunity.
3-HR department;
- Search its data bank; if there is no suitable person.
4-External ads;
- Advertised externally in rare cases.
Coca-Cola Pakistan use the following selection process;
After collating all the applications of candidates the following father methods are use
for selection;
1-Initial interview;
- Candidate was called for interview and for first meeting with the hiring manager.
After initial interview management short list the candidates for nest step.
(employment testing)
2-Employment testing;
- The written test which was held by a company for checking the general knowledge
of the candidates. The candidate which passes this test got short list for further
formalities.
3-Background investigation;
- Company intestate the background of the candidates who passes the employment
test. This investigation is done because company want to know the behavior of the
candidate and his/her legal background.

4-Perliminary selection in HR department;
- After all above steps HR department select candidates for primary basses which
will convert in permanent employment after next step final interview.
5-Final interview;

- This was the final step in which company finalize the employ for the company. In this
interview they talk about the post and the salary which employ get agonist its service
for the company
6-Medical exam and drug testing;
- Company must have to know the medical condition that he/she in not take any kind
of drugs and he/she might not be addicted or involve in any drug activity.
7-Hiring decision;
- After medical exam company takes the decision for the hiring and give the
appointment letter to candidate.

Conclusion:

I think the process of recruitment and selection adopt by the Coca-Cola Pakistan is the
best. By this organization find the best worker, who work efficiently and effectively. One
more thing which is very good in this process is that there is no unfairness with any of
the applicant. Applicant recruitment and selection is done on merit and his/her self
talent.

  Recommendations:
My recommendation is that Coca-Cola Pakistan must continue this process of
recruitment and selection process and try to adopt more upgraded process which give
more efficient result and provide world’s best employ.
