CYBER BULLYING

ABSTRACT

• Online use has been on the rise in the 21st century. In this
sense, it is impressive to see inevitable societal upheavals
following the phenomenon.
• Cyberbullying takes multiple types, including mistreatment of
female individuals while in cyberspace and getting threatening
comments from certain unscrupulous persons with ill intentions.
PROBLEM STATEMENT

• Cyberbullying is a big concern for school-aged people in the group, according


to Christine (2008).
• Bret & Amy (2013) reported that adolescent suicide in the 21st century,
especially those between the ages of 10-24 years, is associated with the
impacts of bullying, which is linked to cyberbullying. Bullying has resulted in
mental health.
• Cyberbullying has been said to bring about social-emotional problems. This is
evident with the person being bullied reporting to feel threatened and isolated
in the school environment.
INDIVIDUAL AND SOCIAL
IMPLICATIONS OF CYBERBULLYING

• Bullying leads to social-emotional changes to an individual.


• Also, bullying leads to mental illness. One is never sober, especially when
dealing with issues in the community. Mental or psychological torture,
especially given that it is impossible to detect, unless the victim reports.
• bullying leads to a change in personality and withdrawal from peers. Adverse
effects may be loss of weight due to stress and feel threatened as well as
neglect.
LITERATURE REVIEW

• According to Antoniadou (2016), cyberbullying increases, getting out of control,


with the rampant use of the Internet, especially by young people. This is
because cyber bullying is most common among the adolescent persons the
school is going.
SOLUTION TO CYBERBULLYING

• The community has tried to help the cyberbullying victims by encouraging


them to issue easy and offering security when they report.
• The alternative solution to cyberbullying is to set up software that will detect
and signal to the government agency suspected bullying messages on the web
(Shariff, 2010)
• In the study done by Broll (2016), He outlined different approaches that can be
used to react to and deter cyberbullying. The other point he suggested is that
the various media outlets that people use for cyberbullying have policies.
SOLUTION TO CYBERBULLYING

• In ensuring the cyberbullying is addressed, the educational solution is still


helpful. According to the paper published by Harrison (2016). He emphasized
that people should build a community of cyber respect where all people who
are linked on social media respect each other.
CONCLUSION

• Cyberbullying may lead some youngsters to drug abuse to lead the state of
fear and a feeling of insecurity.
• Individuals should always be advised to report such instances so that those
responsible may be brought to book and be set as an example for others.
