I. RATIONALE/INTRODUCTION

Inzo Arnaldo Village Integrated School formerly known as Cadiman Elementary

School then evolved to Inzo Arnaldo Elementary School existed for more than 50 years
with the prime mission to provide quality and relevant education to the community. It is
the earnest desire of the institution to give the best for its students and to return the
investment and support extended by the stakeholders to the school in one way or the
other.
In pursuant to the mission of the Department of Education which is to provide
learners a child-friendly, safe, secure, and orderly school premises as well as to
capacitate the community to become disaster resilient and ready, IAVIS, as part of its
lifetime commitment endeavored to roll-out the recently conducted Division-wide
training for Batang Empowered Resilient Team (BERT) that was conducted last April
2018 to the whole school community.
As an institution, IAVIS had evolved from her humble beginning as a barangay
elementary school rooting her name as Cadimahan Elementary School as to what she is
now in the present. It is an integrated school encompassing all areas of learning in the
basic education schema, ranging from Kindergarten, to Elementary Education up to
complete Secondary High School which includes Senior High School. As a growing
institution, the Supreme Student Government deemed it necessary to capacitate all the
members of the community of the basic tenets of disaster preparedness through the
BERT program which is in collaboration with the Division of Roxas City thru the Disaster
Risk Reduction and Management Focal Person and Youth Formation Program Focal
Person.
This roll-out program of the SSG served as a manifestation and emblematic
symbol to the community of its community and respond to the call of building a disaster
ready and resilient community.
